Hope you all had a wonderful holiday and are ready for some more excellent adventures =)
A quick run through of the week:
Monday
7:30-9:00pm: Climbing wall session in the sports center – for this week only you do not need sports center membership so come along and try climbing, there is no excuse!

Wednesday 
1:00-2:00pm: Pub lunch social in the Whey Pat Pub – Come along and sign up for one (or more!) of three trips:

2:00pm – Some people will be heading to AV (climbing wall in Dundee) for the afternoon.

Thursday 
1:00-2:30pm – Climbing wall session in the sports center
Evening - MYSTERY SOCIAL!!!  be very excited… mystery social is to be confirmed (organised…) tonight, more info will be coming into your inboxes soon! it will be a great place to come and meet the committee/regular members and get involved in the club!

JOINING THE CLUB
if you would like to join the club for second semester, the cost will be £20 and you can come join at any of our events or socials.

PHOTOS
If anyone has pictures from any trips, could they please upload them to the website www.staumc.co.uk. There is an attached document on this email that explains the whole process (its easy though, dont worry!) and then we can have an even shiner website!

Hello all unfortunatly Eve is “swamped” is week, which means this e-mail will be less cheery and more demanding.

We’re holding another sign up for Skye tomorrow, at the Whey Pat 13:00 – 14:00. Just look out for the collection of people in the back room.

• Travel to Skye from St Andrews on Friday 27th Jan, by either luxury minibus* or car. Stay in Skye at the Glen Brittle Memorial Hut
• Saturday night will be a big meal for Burns night including: Haggis, neeps and tatties!..
• Travel back to St Andrews on Monday.

Cost for the weekend? £40 (transport, accommodation and food for Saturday night).

Can anyone who has signed up but not paid also endeavour to bring their money to the pub? It means that we’ll have more to spend on food and be able to avoid getting a number of decent hagguses (plural of haggis) rather than having to get a couple of not so good ones and playing Haggis roulette.

Hope all is going well, and you all had a fantastic christmas with lots of shiny things =)
Right down to the important stuff, our annual Burns meet to Skye is fast approaching and i need to know how many of you lovely people are wanting to attend!
The deal is this: travel to Skye from St Andrews on Friday 27th Jan, sometime during the day. Stay in Skye at the Glen Brittle Memorial Hut (lovely big hut right at the foot of the Cuillins ridge, which is home to this . We will do fun mountainy related things on saturday and sunday (dont worry if you have never used ice axes/crampons/seen snow before, my first experience of axes and crampons were on the Cuillin!) Saturday night will be a big meal for Burns night including: Haggis, neeps and tatties! and whiskey, so much whiskey…
Then we will travel back to St Andrews on Monday. The cost for this weekend of excellence will be £40 including transport, accomodation and food for saturday night.
We will be running a sign up next wednesday (11th) in the Whey Pat pub between 1-2pm. Come and have lunch and a wee revision break! We will run another sign up the week after if need be.

Hope christmas break was good to you all =)
I have been informed that there are 16 spare places on the winter skills course at Glenmore lodge (near aviemore) on 25/26th Feb. It is a fantastic course that will teach you crampon, ice axe, avalanche awarness, navigation an much more! plus you can basically eat your way through the fee! Which is a tiny £20 for the whole weekend, which includes: transport, accomodation Fri and Sat night (at the very plush glenmore lodge), all food (so much food…), all equipment hire (including boots, crampons, ice axes, backpacks, basically everything) We already have a few people from the club going on it so transport to and from glenmore will be sorted with AU/hire cars.
So to book a place on this magical course, please print and fill out the attached  application form (ignore the dealine date) and send it to roger wild (adress on the form) with a cheque for £20. This must be cheque not cash (ask a friend if you can trade cash for cheque if you dont have a cheque book). THIS MUST BE DONE ASAP!!! THESE PLACES WILL GO VERY FAST!
